Lock Box Troubleshooting Guide

*** Disclaimer: MFS Supply Canada Inc. is not responsible for lockboxes being incorrectly set up or programmed by the customer and will not be able to replace them! Incorrectly set up lockboxes may be returned for servicing at customer's expense to 131 Dolomite Drive.

 

1. Lockbox won't open:
(A) Correct combination must be selected in order to open the lockbox. The factory setting is 0-0-0-0. If combination is no longer known, the lockbox may be returned for servicing at customer's expense.

 

2. Lockbox won't open and is attached to a surface:
(A) There is no universal resetting code. Lockboxes can only be reset/opened by a locksmith. Bolt cutters or a saw may also be used to cut through the shackle.

 

3. Lockbox won't close:
(A) Correct combination must be selected in order to close the lockbox. The factory setting is 0-0-0-0. If combination is no longer known, the lockbox may be returned for servicing at customer's expense.


4. Reset pin on the back of the numerical code won't slide to the right and up position:
(A) Correct combination must be selected in order to slide the reset pin. The factory setting is 0-0-0-0. If combination is no longer known, the lockbox may be  returned for servicing at customer's expense. 

 

5. The dials don't rotate upwards:
(A) The dials rotate freely only from up to down direction.

 

6. The dials freeze in winter:

(A) Anti-freeze gel may be used on the dial pad to prevent freezing.

 

7. Lockbox is defective:
(A) May be returned for exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. Older lockboxes may be discarded and replaced at customer's expense. MFS Supply Canada Inc. is not responsible for replacing old lockboxes that are no longer fully functional due to wear and tear.
